Meron Teklu, MD, MPH is a dual internal medicine and dermatology resident at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency and Brigham and Women’s Hospital Internal Medicine Residency. She earned her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude in Scientia Experimentali and was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She earned her master’s in public health with a concentration in health policy at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. While in medical school, she was a Medical Research Scholar at the National Institutes of Health where she studied early markers of cardiovascular disease in patients with psoriasis. Dr. Teklu has served on the leadership board of several free clinics, is a current member of the American Academy of Dermatology Congressional Policy Committee and currently serves as a resident leader for Our Patients Our Clients, an organization that partners internal medicine residents with Massachusetts public defenders to prepare medical affidavits for individuals in the carceral system. She is also a community board member of the Roxbury Defenders Unit and current chief resident for the Harvard Internal Medicine-Dermatology residency.
