Fellows of The Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University are required to complete the requirements for a Master of Public Health degree (MPH) from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the 2018-2019 academic year and to fulfill the requirements of the fellowship.

All MPH-45 students at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health must fulfill the following requirements—

  • 45 credits minimum
    • Minimum of 32.5 ordinal credits
    • No more than 12.5 pass/fail credits (independent studies are only p/f)
  • Successful completion of all courses required by your field of study
  • Applied Practice and Integrative Learning Experience (practicum)
  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 2.7

 

Harvard T.H. Chan School students, regardless of their field of study, can take a maximum of 27.5 credits in each fall and spring semesters. Fellows will be strongly encouraged to limit their course load to 50 credits.

Fellowship Requirements

In addition to the core curriculum for the MPH programs, it is required by the Fellowship program that fellows acquire 12.5 credits total in the areas of: leadership, health policy and politics, healthcare delivery and high performance systems, and economics/finance.
