Diana Rubio, MD, is a first-generation Latina family physician committed to advancing health equity through patient care, health policy research, and advocacy. She is passionate about leveraging systemic policy change to improve population health, particularly for Spanish-speaking communities. Dr. Rubio completed her family medicine residency at MedStar Health/Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center in 2024 and subsequently transitioned into the Robert L. Phillips Jr. Health Policy Fellowship at the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. During residency, she was appointed by the Association of Departments of Family Medicine to represent family medicine in the AAMC Organization of Resident Representatives (ORR), later serving as ORR Chair and liaison to the AAMC Group on Diversity and Inclusion. In recognition of her leadership and advocacy, she was named a 2025 National Minority Quality Forum 40 Under 40 Leader in Health.
