Meron Teklu, MD is a dual internal medicine and dermatology resident at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency and Brigham and Women’s Hospital Internal Medicine Residency. She earned her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude in Scientia Experimentali and was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. While in medical school, she studied cardiovascular disease risk factors at the National Institutes of Health through the Medical Research Scholars Program. Dr. Teklu is a current Commonwealth Fund Fellow through the Health Policy and Leadership Track of the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency. Dr. Teklu is interested in policies surrounding medication price transparency and prescription drug costs and is passionate about equitable access to medical care. She has served on the leadership board of several free clinics, is a current member of the American Academy of Dermatology Congressional Policy Committee, and currently serves as a resident leader for Our Patients Our Clients, an organization that partners internal medicine residents with Massachusetts public defenders to prepare medical affidavits for individuals in the carceral system.
